Just a quick thought for today...being grateful for something I take for granted...
So I have not been at my best "thankful" self this week. Sick kids, doctors for them, doctors for me...what a way to spend Spring Break.
But what if I were among the millions of people without health insurance? Would I hesitate to take my sick children to the doctor? Not be able to afford the medications that keep my Relapsing Polychondritis at bay?
So I'm taking a moment to give thanks for our family's health insurance, and my job that provides it.
What do you take for granted?

Just last night I was thinking of all the potential catastrophes that could happen to us (I do this regularly so I'm prepared - or happy when they don't happen). And one that could definitely be a possibility is that the university could cut way back on the health coverage they offer. Or make it a lot more expensive. You know, if that happened Mike & I would just HAVE to lose weight - most of the meds we take could probably go away then. But I'm worried about my arthritic hip - it's been very painful lately. I guess I should have it checked out before the next insurance renewal for the school!
