Finally Scrapping!

Wow, it has been way too long since I've spent any quality time in my craft room. I remedied that yesterday and completed 7 pages! I was especially excited to start the dance album for my youngest daughter, so I'll share those pages today.

Spring 2011- Rehearsing for the recital finale, "Firework" by Katie Perry.
Supplies- Paper (My Mind's Eye, Reminisce, Prima, Creative Imaginations, Basic Grey); Martha Stewart punch; Top Note Sizzix die; Zapdots; misc. ribbon

Popped up the title panel

Had fun layering papers, punches, and ribbon!

"More Rehearsal Moments"
Supplies- Paper (My Mind's Eye, Creative Memories); My Mind's Eye brads and flag

"Dazzling Darlings" professional portraits.
Supplies- Creative Memories Dance paper pack, metallic silver cardstock; CM star punch; Stampin' Up stamp (Baroque Motifs); Staz On Black ink; Studio 18 rhinestones; Funky Brush Sizzlet alpha dies

I love how Staz On ink allows you to place your stamped images on multiple surface types!

The perfect amount of shine...

Thanks for stopping by today!

Project 365: Week 10

Things were really hectic here this past week- my best friend's husband was in a terrible car accident on Monday and has been in ICU ever since. (Talk about deja vu). My birthday was Friday. Everyone in my house got sick this week. I had to work late a few days. Needless to say, our routine was off a little. I only managed to take a pic a few days, so here they are...

Sunday- Dancing with the Wii
Monday- Dance practice- Viv is in the middle with the black leotard
Wednesday- Courtyard at University Hospital, visiting my friend who's husband is in ICU
Friday- One kid sick at home, one at the bus stop
Saturday- My best friend today!

Project 365: Week 2

Are you stuck for photo ops, or just want to get a few new ideas for taking a photo a day? Check out She Suggests for 7 tips.

Here is my week...

Sunday
My daughter (far right) attended a dance workshop with the Wright State dance team. She loved performing with them at halftime!

 Monday
My favorite new toy- a back scratcher! My coworker got it for me, as one of the more recent and annoying health issues I am having is a terrible rash!

Tuesday
PIzza Hut for dinner after cheer practice. The kids get coupons for free personal pizzas when they read a certain amount each month.

Wednesday
So dark and cold waiting for the bus in the morning!

 Thursday
Viv made a heart in our front yard. She was so excited to see a little snow.

Friday
My niece's soccer game. She's on the left, #13. She scored a goal and her team won!

 Saturday
Here we go with the cheerleading pics again! Remember those from last year? I do love their color combo this season- they are my high school colors!
Hope you all have a great week!

Project 365: Week 1

I really enjoyed looking over my collection of P365 photos from last year- noticing the changes in my work and neighborhood, what the girls did at school and in their free time, meals I cooked... 2012 will be my third year doing the Project, and I envision doing something with the yearly photos. Sometime.

I personally snap shots of random stuff and daily life, but if themes are your thing, here are some interesting takes on P365.

Sunday- Scalloped ham and potates with lots of leafy greens for dinner

Monday- Starting to learn her dance routine for the spring recital

Tuesday- trip to the library

Wednesday- home for three days with Hand, Foot and Mouth virus

Thursday- lazy moms go to McDonald's for dinner!

Friday- playing with her wizard science kit

Saturday- the sun and warmth were welcome this weekend!

Project 365: Week 25

Sunday- We got really wet on the log ride at Kings Island!

Monday- Loving the view from my car's sunroof!

Tuesday- Frozen yogurt treats.

Wednesday- My little yellow flowers are in bloom. Love the delicate look of these.

Thursday- Final dress rehearsal before the recital!

Friday- Another trip to Kings Island- this time we hung out in the waterpark area.

Saturday- Our raccoon family must like mulberries. Our neighbor's tree makes our back patio virtually unusable from late spring to mid-July.

Project 365: Week 24

Sunday- Morgan is not too sure about my homemade BBQ sauce!

Monday- Picture night at dance. Three costume changes and 2 1/2 hours!
Tuesday- Very cute but unwelcome guest on our porch the past few days.

Wednesday- Learning how to play Boggle. We told her she was a little too young, but she found about 6 simple words on her own.

Thursday- my purple lilies have bloomed. Love the color on these!

Friday- Strange rash on both arms. Diagnosis? I am thinking reaction to steroids, or heat rash.

Saturday- Dressed up for date night with my hubs!

Project 365: Week 22

While it has been a busy week, as usual, I only took 35 pics this week.
I have a good excuse, both for that and for not blogging much lately.
Unfortunately, my health problems have resurfaced, and I am having a flare of my Relapsing Polychondritis. While everything is manageable right now, I am more tired than usual, and have been advised by my doctors to take it easy. Less work, less stress, more rest. I have an uneasy feeling about this flare, so I am being the best patient I possibly can and abiding by their advice, more so than I usually do! So forgive me over the next few weeks as I post less and visit your blogs less!

Sunday- saw a gorgeous double rainbow in Columbus. The big one on the bottom actually made a full arch!
Monday- This is a section of a traveling mural made by people with disabilities, as part of the 20th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Wednesday- Second dance practice of the week. We are gearing up for the recital!

Friday- Met a coworker for lunch at Panera.

Saturday- Morgan actually kicked the ball at today's game!

Monday- Rehearsing the finale dance for her recital in June.

Tuesday- My wonderful friend Misty made these bracelets for me.

Wednesday- Lots of geese hang around the parking lot at work.

Thursday- This morning's commute was a strange mixture of fog and sun glare.

Friday- Morgan won a cake at her school carnival!

Saturday- Big ole' bunny hanging out in my neighbor's backyard.
Hope you have a great week! Thanks for stopping by.
