Hip Hop Hangover 6/26

Re-posting this layout that I love during my blogging hiatus. Stay tuned for my blog re-launch on Monday, August 9th! Man, my photo editing skills are much improved since this post's debut in June 2009!

Time for another Hip Hop Hangover! If you haven't checked it out yet, Unity has a super fab new Christmas set release! This layout just shows off some cute pics of Justin and the girls. I used a sketch from 52 sketches...52 weeks, and stamps from a few different Unity kits. I love their sentiment stamps, sometimes they say just what you mean!

Supplies:
stamps- Unity June KOM, Love Grows, This is the Time
paper- BG (Bazzill); brown (Prima); stripe (Me & My Big Ideas)
ink- Wild Wasabi; Choc Chip; Tim Holtz Tea Dye
other- office tags; foam adhesive; CM alpha stickers; Making Memories chipboard alpha

Thanks for looking, and have a great weekend!

Sweet Sleeping Girl

This is my youngest daughter Vivian, age 4. On this particular day, about a week ago, she refused to take a nap. She then passed out on the couch right before dinner. Figures. She has such a sweet angel face...especially when she is sleeping! During waking hours she is non-stop talk, jump, hugs and dance. Spunky, sassy, hard-headed. My wild one.

My sweet baby. Love her.

Products:
paper: background (OTC); orange dp (My Minds Eye);dots (Target); pink dp (HOTP)
ink: Staz on Timber Brown; TH Distress Inks Antique Linen and Tattered Rose
stamps: all Unity! (May and Aug KOM, Confession)
other: photo turn (OTC); brad (Making Memories)

Happy Hangover!

So I am finally getting around to scrapping some photos of my newest niece, who was born in May. These pictures were taken at the hospital the day she was born.
I know black is an unusual choice for a baby layout, but I liked the way the pastel colors looked against it, so, there you go!
I used Unity's "Love Grows" set for this layout, and if you look closely, you can see that I stamped right on the lace in the bottom corner! I thought this was the perfect set for a growing family, and it also made the perfect page title!
Supplies:
stamps: Unity (Love Grows), Alphabits (SU)
ink: Rose Red (SU), Cotton White (Staz On), Pretty in Pink (SU)
paper: black cs, white cs, dp (CM)
other: alpha stickers (EK Success), buttons, puffy paint (Tulip), lace
Have a great weekend, and thanks for looking!
Check back tomorrow for another double-page layout using Unity!

Hip Hop Hangover, simple style

Here is a simple card I made using the Unity April KOM and Distressed Dots.
The background is stamped with VersaMark, and the girls are stamped in Chocolate Chip.
Brown and red is one of my favorite color combos, and I just love the extra splash
of color the dollar bin ribbon throws in there!
Have a great weekend!

Hip Hop Hangover!

Can't get enough Unity?? Here is a single layer card I made for their Thursday anniversary challenge. The stamp is from their "Scrapbook from the Beginning" set, which I just love! It is stamped in Staz-On Black onto good old kraft paper. The flowers are from Colorbok, so the whole thing came together so fast! A bit of black ribbon (taken from the Clean & Simple Challenge #12) and a computer generated sentiment finished it off, perfect for my sister in law, who is graduating with her Master's degree!
