Featured Stamper card

This card was copied from Diane, who is this week's Featured Stamper on SCS. The "rules" of this challenge are to choose a card to copy, but change at least two things. Her original card is here. I kept the stamps, layout, black borders, and the way she cut out and layered the main image. I changed the colors, switched brads for the ribbon, added embossing, and moved the sentiment to the inside of the card.

Supplies:
paper- white, black, blue bayou
stamps- One of a Kind (SU)
ink- blue bayou
other- brads, Sharpie, foam adhesive, metallic colored pencils, embossing folder (Tiny Bubbles)

First Day of Married Life!

Here is another page for my honeymoon album- this will be the first page after the title page. We didn't leave for Cancun until the Monday after our wedding, so on Sunday we met some out-of-town guests for breakfast and just generally recovered! You can see that Justin doesn't look too well rested the morning after the wedding and reception... tee hee!

Mojo Monday

I finally had a chance to do a Mojo sketch challenge! My sister and her family have lost three pets in the past six weeks. I feel so terrible for them! So a sympathy card was definitely in order. Just a simple, subdued color scheme. Check back for scrapbook pages later this week.

Happy Father's Day!

Hope you all get to spend some quality time with your family today. We celebrated Father's Day yesterday with a cookout. Super-yummy menu:

• hot dogs and burgers (never-fail recipie- 80/20 ground beef, 1 package onion soup mix, generous amount of soy sauce, dash of garlic powder)
• veggies and dip
• BBQ meatballs
• cheesy, bacon-y, fattening potato casserole
• pasta salad
• chocolate cake

Here is my hubby, Justin, and our girls. He is such a great dad, and I hope as the girls get older they realize how lucky they are!

My dad with Vivian and Morgan. He always has fun stuff to show the kids at the airport where he works, and they love having sleepovers at his house.

My grandfather with the girls. He is such a great person. A hard worker, loyal to his family, smart and generous. I am so grateful to have him in my life, and even more blessed that my children have been able to know him.

So, enjoy your day and tell a special guy that you love him

and are thankful to have him in your life!

A Honeymoon page!

I am finally getting around to scrapping my honeymoon pictures, from nine years ago. I hadn't been scrapping long when we got married, and my pictures sure show it! Besides not having a lot of pictures, the quality is really terrible on a lot of them. But it's the memories that count, right? This page documents the weather we were having in Cancun at the time- hurricane season! We didn't get a lot of rain but the water was really rough.

Father's Day Cards

I am very happy to have my Father's Day cards done early this year! By a whole week! Hopefully that means my out-of-town relatives will get their cards on time. The cute remote control image is from The Digi Shack. I colored them with Prismas and gamsol. The solid blue and checked paper is from Creative Memories. Other supplies used are CM square maker, nesties, paper piercer, and circle clips from Oriental Trading Co.

Thankful

Thought I should pop in and post something! This picture was taken at Thanksgiving dinner at my grandparents' in 2007. The layout was scraplifted from Aimee at Color Me Daisy. I especially loved her pleated ribbon and journaling strips!
