Hip Hop Thursday!
Here is the card I made for Unity's Hip Hop Thursday. Today's challenge was to use a scalloped or other decorative edge on your card. I used all paper scraps on this, and tried my prismacolor pencils with mineral spirits for the first time. The cupcake image is up on popdots. Thanks for looking!

4 Dirty Feet!
I love capturing everyday moments and all the funny things my girls do in my scrapbooks. Besides the memories, my favorite thing about this page is that it uses ALL SCRAPS! Other items used are: CM corner rounder and custom cutting system, Pixie Pink SU! ink, and alpha stamps from EK Success. Have a great weekend, now go make some memories!

March Madness Elite Eight!
I have made it to the Elite Eight over at SplitCoastStampers! I have been a busy little scrapper, completing 9 challenges so far this week. Here's one of my girls coloring easter eggs this year. The challenge for this page was to use three different edges on the layout. Here, I used distressing & inking, tearing, and Art Deco Fiskars scissors. I used paper by Me & My Big Ideas Fashion District Line, Making Memories, and Creative Memories. Thanks for looking!

Silly and Sweet!
Last week's Inspiration Challenge on SplitCoastStampers was to scrap silly photos. My three-year-old, Vivian, is the definition of silly! Every time the camera comes out she scrunches up her face and acts goofy. I never print out the pictures, but have them saved on my harddrive. This challenge was a perfect "excuse" to make a page that highlights Vivian's playful nature. All paper on the layout is scraps. The title was stamped with "comic" by Inkadinkado. The felt flowers, from American Crafts, add some pop.

Namesake...the layout
As promised, here is the page I did about my mom and niece. I really love this sketch (SBSC174 on SplitCoastStampers) and didn't want to detract from it with journaling. So I created a swing-out journaling box that is attached to the back of the page with one of the brads.
The background paper is by Cosmo Cricket, and the textured tan cardstock and shimmery brown is from Prima. I cut the title letters using my Aphrodite Sizzlet alpha dies. The trim was rescued from a friend's trash pile, and soaked in tea for an hour or so to give it an aged look. Overall I am really happy with how it came together!

Reading Rocks!
My oldest daughter got to meet Clifford the Big Red Dog at her school's Literacy Night. This page for her school album was super easy. I used a layout from SplitCoastStampers, and Creative Memories Primary School paper pack. The clear title sticker also came from this pack! The green line stickers are from Creative Memories, too. I love how Morgan's school album is looking so coordinated with these matching products.

My Mother's Namesake
This is a photo of my mother when she was a parish worker in Michigan, circa 1972. Her name was Carol Jean Lehmann. Her first grandchild, my niece, was born 3 years after she passed away. That granddaughter became her namesake, Jetta Carol Jean. This weekend my goal is to scrap a page that celebrates the connection between my mother and niece.

New Year's Eve page
Whew! I am finally back online after getting rid of a nasty computer virus! At least having no computer freed up some extra scrapbooking time! Here is my page from New Year's Eve. I used the SBSC104 for my layout. Fussy cutting the paisly pattern from my OTC paper really made this page come together quickly. To balance out the color from the phrase sticker, I inked up my "Take Note" stamp from Autumn Leaves in Cool Caribbean. One of the paisly pieces is up on dimensionals. I added some doodling with white and teal pens to finish it off.
