Steampunk Birthday Card

It's time for another project with Lindsay's Stamp Stuff. I made this birthday card using her Steampunk Stamps.  I also used SplitcoastStampers sketch 288 for inspiration. My nesties, glimmer mist and scrap pile came together on this quick card.

I can't believe it is time for another project with Lindsay's Stamp Stuff. It's July 1st- this summer is just flying by!

Today I want to share a card I made for my grandfather, who is having surgery on his lung on July 12th. I wanted to create a card that was simple and strong, yet meaningful.  Leaf Prints and All Around Sayings (oldies but goodies) seemed to pair up nicely. I simply layered them in Microsoft Word then printed it out!

Summer Strawberries with LSS

Grad album with LSS

For this week's project I created a chipboard album as a graduation gift for niece. I used the Uptown Houndstooth papers from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff to add some sophistication to the otherwise vintage feel of the album. Lots of tearing and inking going on here!

A Tinkerbell Party & a little color theory

I am Bekah from Reflections...on Living Creatively. While I am primarily a scrapbooker, brushing up on your knowledge about color theory is useful for any crafter! I am excited to be joining you today at Modista Modesta!

Red, Yellow and Blue are the primary colors, and Orange, Green and Purple are the secondary colors. Colors next to each other are analygous. When used together the look is cohesive and can convey a theme. Colors opposite each other are complimentary and create drama and energy.

Here I used the complimentary colors green and purple to communicate the fun and energy of the party.

Here is a triangle treat box I made for my niece's first birthday using the Pretty Primative set:

I printed the images on watercolor paper then used watercolor pencils and an aqua brush to color. I love this look!
